A new day dawns! (Easter Sunday)

CHRIST is RISEN!
Indeed, He is RISEN!

Christ is Risen, and you, O death, are annihilated!
Christ is Risen, and the evil ones are cast down!
Christ is Risen, and the angels rejoice!
Christ is Risen, and life is liberated!
Christ is Risen, and the tomb is emptied of its dead;
for Christ having risen from the dead,
is become the first-fruits of those who have fallen asleep.

To Him be Glory and Power forever and ever. Amen!

Jacopa Robusti Tintoretto, The Resurrection of Christ (1565)

"On the third day the friends of Christ coming
at daybreak to the place found the grave empty and
the stone rolled away.  In varying ways they realized
that new wonder; but even they hardly realized
that the world had died in the night.
What they were looking at was the first day of a new creation,
with a new heaven and a new earth; and in a
semblance of the gardener God walked again in the garden,
in the cool not of the evening but the dawn.”

GK Chesterton, The Everlasting Man
