The grandeur of God's mercy...

 24 Hours for the Lord
March 4-5, 2016

"The initiative of "24 Hours for the Lord," to be celebrated on the Friday and Saturday
preceding the Fourth Week of Lent, should be implemented in every diocese.  So many
people, including young people, are returning to the Sacrament of Reconciliation; through
this experience they are rediscovering a path back to the Lord, living a moment of
intense prayer and finding meaning in their lives.  Let us place the Sacrament of Reconciliation
at the centre once more in such a way that it will enable people to touch the
grandeur of God's mercy with their own hands.  For every penitent,
it will be a source of true interior peace." - Pope Francis, Misericordiae Vultus, 17

Check your parish and/or diocesan Web site for details regarding your area.

"In the Mass the blood of Christ
flows anew for sinners."
St Augustine

Mass and Confession: a perfect pairing!

He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses
and forsakes them will have mercy. - Proverbs 28:13

"In failing to confess, Lord, I would only hide You from myself,
not myself from You." - St Augustine

For the sake of His sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world!
