Sending messages... often...

Lord, open my lips.
- And my mouth will declare your praise
Invitatory Psalm

[heem3.bmp]

“Wherever I may be I will often think of
Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
I will fix my thoughts on the holy Tabernacle – even when I happen to
wake up at night  - adoring Him from where I am, calling to Jesus in the
Blessed Sacrament, offering up to Him the action I am performing.

I will install one telegraph cable from my study to the Church, another from my bedroom, and a third from our refectory;
and as often as I can, I will send messages of love
to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

Venerable Andrew Beltrami (+1897)

His mother, upon entrusting him
to the Salesian Novice Master said,

Ask great graces...

“Therefore enlarge your heart, and
do not ask things of small importance, but
ask great graces.... " - St Leonard of Port Maurice

"I often speak with my Teacher,
Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament,
because I can learn from Him.
Jesus is the Teacher
of the science of holiness.

I go to Him because
I would like to learn from Him
how to become a saint.

Of what use to me
is all knowledge and education,
if I do not become holy!?"

Two goods for the choosing...

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction,
faithful in prayer. - Romans 12:12

"Prayer purifies us, reading instructs us.
Both are good when both are possible.
Otherwise, prayer is better than reading."

"Confession heals, confession justifies, confession grants pardon of sin. All hope consists in confession. In confession there is a chance for mercy. Believe it firmly. Do not doubt, do not hesitate, never despair of the mercy of God. Hope and have confidence in confession."  - St Isidore of Seville
