“Look upon the Hour of Adoration assigned to you
as an hour in paradise.  Go to your adoration
as one would to heaven, to the divine banquet.

You will then long for that hour and hail it with joy.

Take delight in fostering a longing for it in your heart.
Tell yourself, “In four hours, in two hours, in one hour, our Lord
will give me an audience of grace and love. He has invited me;
He is waiting for me; He is longing for me.”

St. Peter Julian Eymard
France ~ 1811-1868
Founder of Congregation of
Priests of the Blessed Sacrament (1856)
Apostle of the Eucharist
Happy and Holy 100th Birthday to Sr Paulina BeNoot, Contemplative Good Shepherd!

  “Society will again someday become Christian won to Jesus Christ
by the apostolate of Eucharistic Prayer.” ~ St Peter Julian Eymard

St Peter Julian Eymard was unequalled as an Apostle of the Eucharist.  His VOCATION and MISSION was to LEAD ALL CHRISTIANS to the EUCHARIST -  to such an extent that people finally called him the "Priest of the Blessed Sacrament".  He offered his life for the Eucharistic reign of Jesus.  At the founding of the Congregation of Priests of the Blessed Sacrament, he wrote: "Here, dear Jesus, is my life.  Behold me ready to eat stones and to die abandoned, just so that I may succeed in erecting a throne for Thee and give Thee a family of friends, a nation of adorers."

On his deathbed St Peter Julian Eymard gave this reply to a religious who requested a final point for reflection:  "I have nothing more to tell you.  You already have the Eucharist.  What more do you want?"

St Peter Julian Eymard, pray for us that
we may become a nation of adorers!
