"Not only are we to receive and adore the Eucharist,
we must live the Eucharist.
We are to let the rays of mercy from the monstrance
pass through us and go out through all the world."
St Maria Faustina
Nun, mystic, visionary
Known as the Apostle of Divine Mercy
FEAST DAY – October 5
"If we were to sit for an hour a few feet away from a radioactive
element, how much would that change effect us? The Lord is
infinitely more powerful than this and if we go to Him seeking grace
and mercy, how much more can we hope to be changed?" ~ St Faustina
St Faustina, ora pro nobis!
THANK YOU JANETTE FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL POSTING AND WORDS OF ST. FAUSTINA. THEY REALLY TOUCHED ME THIS MORNING.
ReplyDeleteYES, WE ALL NEED TO LIVE A HOLY LIFE, SO THAT IT IS JESUS ONE SEES WHEN WE ARE MINISTERING IN SOME WAY TO A HURTING WORLD. I LOVE THE QUOTE BY BLESSED TERESA OF CALCUTTA, "LET NO ONE GO AWAY FROM US WITHOUT HAVING SEEN JESUS IN US, AND WE SEEING THE LORD IN THE DISGUISE OF THE POOR AND UNWANTED." I DON'T THINK THAT IS VERBATIM, BUT I AM SURE YOU HAVE READ THE EXACT QUOTE SOMEWHERE.
OUR LORDS DIVINE MERCY MESSAGE IS ONE THAT IS NEEDED MORE TODAY THAN EVER, IN A OUR INCREASINGLY UNBELIEVING WORLD. MAKES ME OFTEN THINK OF THE WORDS OF JESUS, WHEN HE SAID, WHEN I RETURN, WILL I FIND ANYONE WITH FAITH? THE WORLD SEEMS TO BE IN A LOVE RELATIONSHIP THAT IS, 'ME, MYSELF, AND I.'
DO HAVE A BLESSE DAY, AND A HAPPY FEAST DAY TO YOU.
JESUS, MARY AND ST.FAUSTINA BLESS YOU,
JOHN K.
Great and meaty comments, as per your usual, John! Much obliged! Check this out in re: St Faustina... she may become a Doctor of the Church.
