From the heart of Christ

From the heart of Christ
This hymn can be sung to the tune
used for The Living God My Shepherd Is

God's peace flows down in silent streams
Along the rough-cut wood
And spreads across the sin-torn world
In ever-rising flood:
The Spirit from the heart of Christ
In water and in blood.

God's peace flows through Jerusalem
And down the mountainside,
Four rivers from the tree of life
In never-ebbing tide:
The Spirit from the heart of Christ,
The breath of Him who died.

God's peace flows through the font of life
And through the cup we share,
To cool and quench all thirsty souls
Weighed down with heavy care:
The Spirit from the heart of Christ,
Within the Church at prayer.

God's peace flows out through all the world
Through us, who now are sent
To love and serve in dailiness
Until our lives are spent:
The Spirit from the heart of Christ
In living sacrament.

  1. Jeanette: Praised be Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament! I hope this finds you doing well. Thank you for this beautiful reflection that you posted, also the one with the Cardinals pictures and whose name should be on our lips. The Most Holy Name of Jesus!

Although I don't always leave a comment, I enjoy very much reading your blog, food for our souls. God Bless you, John K.

  2. Greetings,John: Appreciate the time spent to read, reflect, comment - that together we may grow to know, love and serve our Eucharistic LORD more and more. These are busy days as our family prepares to celebrate our son's ordination to the Holy Priesthood on May 25, God willing. It is Love beyond all telling! He is studying in Rome - we can only imagine the excitement and holy anticipation of these hours and days.
