THANK YOU FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL MEDITATION, AND PICTURE. A PRAYER I ALWAYS SAY BEFORE PRAYING GOES LIKE THIS: "ALMIGHTY FATHER, I PLACE THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS YOUR SON UPON MY LIPS BEFORE I PRAY SO THAT MY PRAYERS MAYBE PURIFIED AS THEY ASCEND TO YOUR DIVINE ALTAR IN HEAVEN!"
ReplyDeleteWHEN I FIRST CAME UPON THIS PRAYER, I KNEW IT IS ONE THAT I NEEDED TO RECITE BEFORE I EVEN BEGIN TO ADDRESS GOD. JESUS MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD WASHES AWAY OUR SINS, KEEPS EVIL FROM US. I LOVE THE PICTURES YOU SEE OF JESUS' CRUCIFIXION AND THE ANGLES WITH CHALICES COLLECTING OUR LORDS BLOOD. SO SAD THAT SO MANY DO NOT REALIZE THE SACRIFICE OUR LORD MADE BY LAYING DOWN HIS LIFE AND SHEDDING HIS BLOOD SO THAT WE MAY LIVE.

Always a joy to hear from you, John. The prayer offering is BEAUTIFUL, so BEAUTIFUL!! It reminds me of crossing our thumb over our mouths when praying the invitatory or Morning Prayer.
