Companion at Mass

“Let us bring Mary with us to Mass.  She will kneel
beside us at the Consecration and we shall
feel her intense devotion, admire her heroic courage,
and yearn for her spirit of self-sacrifice.  Mary knows
that the more a soul gives itself into His hands,
the more perfectly does He work for its sanctity.”

“Never be afraid of loving the Blessed Virgin too much.
You can never love her more than Jesus did.”
 Saint Maximilian Kolbe

  1. I love your little prayer for Fr. Strand! I know his brother Fr. Luke very well but have not yet had a chance to meet Fr. Jacob. What a wonderful and holy family! They are a real blessing for Milwaukee!

  2. Thank you for your visit and comment, Anne. I always delight in learning of the beautiful weavings of our Lord in people's lives!! It will indeed last our eternity to rejoice in the ways God has providentially connected us with one another through His mercy and love.
Another strand (pardon the pun!)of weaving to share: Fr Jacob studied at the NAC where our son, Spencer, is finishing his thrid year of Theology. Two summers ago the two of them went to Ethiopia to work with the Missionaries of Charity there. Fr Jacob returned early and sent an email to me chronicling so many happenings and assuring that our son was 'okay'. It was such a lovely act of kindness that continues to minister when we recall it. Fr Jacob has the virtuous makings of a fine, fine priest of Jesus Christ!
